Security & Privacy

Built with trust in mind.

Enterprise-grade WordPress security and a strict no-tracking default. Your site data stays yours.

Nonce Verification

Every export action is verified with WordPress nonces, preventing CSRF attacks and unauthorized requests.

Data Sanitization

All input is sanitized with wp_unslash and properly escaped on output — fully PHPCS compliant as of v5.1.

AES-256-CBC Encryption

If you opt-in to anonymous telemetry, all transmitted data is encrypted using AES-256-CBC before leaving your server.

Zero Tracking by Default

No analytics, no beacons, no tracking calls. The plugin makes zero external requests unless you explicitly enable telemetry.

We never collect (even with opt-in)

  • Post content, pages, or media
  • User passwords or authentication data
  • Customer or client personal information
  • E-commerce order or transaction data
  • Any sensitive user-generated content

Optional opt-in only collects

  • Plugin version and current export settings
  • WordPress and PHP version numbers
  • Active theme name and version
  • Site language and multisite status
  • Anonymous site URL (for deduplication only)

FAQ

Common questions.

After activating, go to "Extension Info Exporter" in your WordPress admin. Select your fields, choose a filter type and format, set your filename template, then click "Export Plugins Details" — your file downloads immediately. No additional setup needed.
No. By default the plugin makes zero external requests and collects nothing. Optional anonymous diagnostic data is only ever sent if you explicitly opt-in from the Settings page. We never collect post content, passwords, or any personally identifiable information — with or without opt-in.
Use dynamic variables in your filename field: {date}, {time}, {site_name}, {export_type}, {format}. For example, "plugins-{site_name}-{date}" becomes "plugins-mysite-2025-06-04" automatically on export. A live preview shows the final filename before you click export.
Enter an email address, choose Daily/Weekly/Monthly frequency, pick your export type and format, then save. WP-Cron handles delivery automatically. Use "Send Test Email Now" to verify the email arrives correctly before enabling your schedule.
Yes — the plugin uses WordPress's native update functions to check whether each installed plugin has a newer version in the repository. You can export a "Needs Update" filtered list and include both the current and latest version as separate columns in your export.
An optional feedback modal appears where you can share why you're leaving. This is completely optional — click "Skip & Deactivate" to proceed immediately without sharing anything. Your name and email are only ever sent if you check the explicit consent checkbox.
Yes. Must-Use (MU) plugins are shown as a separate category with their own stat card on the dashboard overview. They can be included in exports when needed.
